H&M launched their beach wear using a model outside the norm. This model was Jennie Runk. In the fashion world she would be considered a plus size model. H&M didn't make a deal out of this launch because Jennie isn't a plus size model, she is "just" a model like everybody else and gets treated at such. H&M are really putting in an effort to create equality between different typed of models. They were also the store that put curvy mannequins in the windows. I hope that this is a tendency which will spread to other brands and stores. Imagine being a fuller kind of girl, walking by a display window, looking in and seeing a beautiful dress. She doesn't have to wonder or go in the store insecure because the mannequin's body looks like her body. That's how the future might look like if we keep fighting for it. So here's to H&M and Jennie Runk! You guys rock!!
